More beautiful than a rose, more drought-tolerant than a cactus. Months of scorching sun, and the blooms are absolutely stunning.

Desert rose - called a rose, but actually a shrub that lives on tropical desert gobi plains, also known as Tianbao flower. The desert rose plant is short, with an ancient, rugged tree form and a swollen rootstock shaped like a wine bottle. It blooms twice a year, from April to May and from September to October, in bright vivid red, shaped like a trumpet, extremely unique, and deeply loved by people.

Many of us keep a pot of desert rose at home. It fears neither intense heat nor strong sunlight, and its blooms are brightly colored and varied. Grown on a balcony, it has a distinctive style all its own.

The desert rose should be kept away from humid environments. Even during the growing season, water must not be excessive. Before each watering, make sure the surface of the potting soil is completely dry. Never water during the plant's dormant period, as doing so will only make the plant more susceptible to cold damage and cause it to wither.

In summer it can be placed outdoors in a spot with ample sunlight, with no need for shade, and watered thoroughly to keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged. In winter, watering must be reduced, and the overwintering temperature should be kept above 10°C so that it drops its leaves and enters dormancy.

Although the desert rose is ordinary, it possesses an extraordinary vitality: you can pull it up and casually toss it somewhere, leaving it there for weeks. When you see it again and put it in water, you can watch it revive. After a few weeks, it may even be a thousand times more beautiful than when you first saw it.

The moment I understood all of the above, I was completely shaken, and I could even feel that green-tinged vitality surging in my heart.

I wonder whether the desert rose's persistent pursuit comes from the instinct of life or from the awakening of a strong consciousness, wanting to extend its own life through creation and preserve a piece of eternity.

I have read more than once news like this: a university student, unable to bear the pressure of study and life, jumps to their death. Is there really something that can make a living person give up their life?

Under the inspiration of nature, I realized the importance of persistence, and I also learned that never giving up is a topic with many layers...

From this, we have no reason not to devote sincere gratitude and lofty reverence to life. After all, life belongs to each person only once. Simply being alive is itself a kind of capital, a kind of good fortune, a brave challenge to and defiance of an unfair fate.

Thank life for granting us this extraordinarily precious and ceaselessly pursued existence. When we encounter difficulties and obstacles, we should be like the rose in the desert, meeting life's trials with a brilliant and colorful posture, standing proudly in harsh environments.
