2 flowers that grow more vigorously the hotter the weather, easy enough for lazy gardeners to keep alive

The weather is so hot that it is really not easy for potted flowers to make it through the summer. Either the potting soil becomes compacted and dried out, or the leaves turn yellow and the roots rot. Although most flowering plants do not like summer, in the vast world there are so many kinds of flowers. Aside from anything else, even among the flowers we commonly grow in daily life, there are plants that especially love heat.
These 2 kinds of flowers can be said to grow more vigorously the hotter the weather. I believe that even beginner or lazy gardeners can keep them alive! Next, let's take a look at what these 2 kinds of flowers actually are, with such tenacious vitality.
The first kind of flower: moss rose
Moss rose is a herbaceous flower of the genus Portulaca. It is also called purslane, pine-leaf peony, dragon-whisker peony, garden purslane, and noon flower. As a common potted plant at home, moss rose can be said to be very easy to grow. It is probably planted in every region. I remember when I was little, there were lots of them growing in the yard at home. After a rain, as soon as the sun came out, they all bloomed. I still remember that beautiful sight to this day.
Moss rose is very easy to care for. It is a typical "sunshine flower." The hotter the weather and the stronger the sun, the easier it is for it to bloom. Moreover, this flower is rather unusual. Without sun, it will not open. Moss rose is quite nice as a potted plant, placed on a balcony. For potting, it is recommended to mix the soil yourself. The specific method is: 3 parts mature garden soil, 5 parts yellow sand, and 2 parts rice-hull ash or fine sawdust, mixed and stirred evenly. If you add a little superphosphate powder or eggshell fertilizer, that would be even better.
The second kind of flower: bowl lotus
Bowl lotus is a famous "sunshine flower." In the hot summer, while other flowers are in their dormant period, bowl lotus alone is in its peak growing season. Bowl lotus especially loves light, and only with sufficient sunlight can it grow better. Bowl lotus likes strong light. 23°C-30°C is its growth and development temperature, it will only bloom above 28°C, and at 25°C it will grow new lotus roots.
Caring for bowl lotus also requires some skill.
Although it is an aquatic plant and loves water, it fears being submerged, especially when the water is deep, which can cause the leaves to rot. Therefore, in the early stage of growing bowl lotus, the water must definitely be shallow, and later it can gradually be deepened. Bowl lotus generally does not need fertilizing. Before planting, some humus fertilizer can be added to the soil. Because summer is the peak growing season, in order to extend the flowering period, some decomposed soybeans can be used as a top dressing by tucking them into the mud of the bowl lotus.
As for the two kinds of flowers above, I do not know whether flower lovers are growing them. That is all for sharing about their care. Thank you for reading!
