Hualong Net, July 28, 23:20 (Reporter Zhang Yong) When dealing with shortcomings, one should nip problems in the bud. The same applies to a wasp nest hanging in one's home. Yesterday (the 27th), faced with a washbasin-sized wasp nest hanging on the balcony, a resident in Qianjiang, Chongqing did not dare to remove it and regretted not acting earlier. Fortunately, local firefighters stepped in and helped the resident solve the big trouble right away.

At 18:57 on July 27, the command center of the Qianjiang District Public Security Fire Detachment in Chongqing received a report from a citizen saying that at 7-2 on the 7th floor of the Silk Company residential building at Xishan Roundabout, Chengxi Street, Qianjiang District, on the balcony of resident Mr. Fan's home, a washbasin-sized wasp nest had formed, with large numbers of wasps flying everywhere, posing a serious safety hazard and the danger of residents being stung by wasps. After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately dispatched the affiliated Xinhua Squadron to the scene to handle it.

"Guided by Mr. Fan's family, we saw a washbasin-sized wasp nest built under the balcony awning outside the living room, with large numbers of wasps circling around." After observation, the firefighters determined a plan for removing the wasp nest and immediately carried out its removal.

They put on bee-proof suits, fastened their safety belts, climbed onto the windowsill to get below the wasp nest, first used burning to deal with the wasps, and then removed the entire wasp nest and put it into a bag.

After more than 10 minutes of work, the wasp nest was successfully removed. To prevent a small number of wasps from returning to the same place to build a nest again, the firefighters used insecticide to spray around the nesting site, completely eliminating the wasp problem.
