The spider plant is one of the most common potted plants in the home. Its leaves are slender and stay green all year round, and its stems and leaves droop naturally, swaying gently in the breeze like butterflies dancing, giving it high ornamental value. Although spider plant care is relatively simple, brown leaf tips often appear during care, which reduces its ornamental value. So how can you prevent the leaf tips from drying out?

Humidity

The spider plant itself likes a humid environment, and since it has quite a lot of leaves, its water requirements are relatively high. If it lacks water, the leaves will dry out, but you should not overwater it either; just keep the soil slightly moist. In addition, when temperatures are high in summer, you can spray some clean water around the spider plant to increase the humidity of the surrounding air. Or use a piece of gauze dipped in water to wipe the leaves; this not only increases humidity but also wipes away dust on the leaves, making it look more attractive.

Light

The spider plant naturally likes ample light, but if you do not have time to care for it, it is recommended to grow it in a spot with indirect light. Just like now, when the temperature is high, if it is grown in a spot with ample light, it will be scorched by the sun, which turns its leaves yellow. So it is best to grow it in a spot with indirect light so that it can grow vigorously.

Repotting

Besides meeting its water and light needs, you also need to make sure the pot is the right size, because the spider plant grows relatively fast. If the pot is too small, the root growth of the spider plant will be hindered, so it cannot grow as well. Therefore, you need to repot the spider plant regularly, which can also prevent insufficient soil fertility from affecting its growth. Basically, repotting once every two years is enough.
