On the long road of ordering takeout
There is a kind of pain you just can't bear, and it's called: your mom is home...
Ordering takeout when mom is home
is the most tense and thrilling thing I have ever done
When you get caught ordering takeout by your mom....
"Isn't there food at home?" "You just had to order takeout!"
"What a waste of money! And it's unhealthy to eat!"
"You spendthrift kid!"
It's as if the editor can hear mom's voice right by their ear...
Just for a bite to eat, is it easy for me?
[I'm not homeless, I just have a mom who won't let me order takeout...]
@VeryCuteHer:
Doesn't your neighborhood have a pavilion... Every time I eat in a pavilion outside where no one is around. The new cleaning lady thought I was homeless, because she kept seeing me eating outside...
@PrinceOfTheZeroClan:
I ordered some snacks, and there was a bag of spicy strips in there. I secretly ate them outside, and afraid I'd smell like them, I didn't dare go home. I stood outside in the cold wind for a long time. I feel like that's when I froze my brain silly.

@PurenTea:
I ordered barbecue at night, the delivery guy knocked on the door, my mom was in the kitchen, and it was a mad dash to carry it into my room and eat the skewers alone. I couldn't even share two skewers with my dad, and he didn't dare come ask me for any. I was tormented by double mental pressure from both my side and the enemy side. I was not truly happy...
@GoToSleepEarly:
When I was in elementary school, I was home alone happily watching cartoons and eating spicy strips, when my mom suddenly came back. I was so anxious I didn't know where to stash the stuff. On a flash of inspiration, I stuffed the spicy strips into a suitcase under the bed. Then I forgot to take them out. I will never forget the beating I got when my dad was going on a business trip and my mom went to get him the suitcase.
[Time it just right, an essential survival skill]
@TobaccoScentedWoodyNotes:
I time it so I order takeout on the way home, and when I arrive I wait downstairs. Once I get it, I drink it before going upstairs. You could say I'm extremely pathetic. If I order milk tea at home, my mom will scold me to death, even if I order a portion for her, she'll scold me the whole time I'm gulping it down. So miserable.
@ADeity:
My mom goes for a walk every day from six to 8:30. I order takeout at 5:50, finish eating by 7, hide the takeout container, open the window to ventilate, and throw away the trash on my way to work the next morning.
[If my mom isn't home, I wish takeout could be delivered to my bedside]
@YourSevenSix:
Every time I use the excuse that there's a dog in the yard to ask the delivery guy to wait across the street from my house for me to pick it up myself. Whatever you do, don't come knock on my door. If my mom isn't home, I wish the delivery guy would deliver it to my bedside.
Just finished ordering takeout, and mom came back...
[Don't deliver it, I admit defeat this round...]
@PikachuWhoDoesn'tEatCarrots:
Once I had just finished ordering takeout when my mom came back. I quickly hid in the bathroom and called the merchant to cancel it. The merchant said it had already been dispatched. I asked the merchant to call the delivery guy back. I'd still pay, but don't deliver the food. Otherwise, if my mom found out, I'd die horribly.
@MissMeowWhoWorkedHardForN1AndTOEFL:
Yesterday I thought my mom had gone to work, so I ordered fried chicken. But before the takeout arrived, my mom came back... Then I begged the delivery guy to eat it for me _(:3"z)_
@YourSherryxi:
My mom said she was going on a business trip and taking the evening train. After I got home and found she wasn't there, I happily ordered barbecue. But before the barbecue arrived, my mom came back and said she missed the train. I was so scared that I frantically texted the delivery guy not to ring the doorbell. My mom doesn't let me eat late-night snacks. I'll let you eat it, thanks for your hard work, thanks for your hard work.
[Sorry, I'm just that spineless...]
@keep_on_fighting:
Once I calculated the timing and ordered takeout, but who knew that by the time my mom got home, the takeout still hadn't arrived. I was so scared that I quickly texted the delivery guy to absolutely not ring my doorbell and just leave it at the neighborhood security booth. Then I pretended to my mom that I was going to the neighborhood supermarket to buy batteries, quickly grabbed the takeout, and stood next to the trash can to eat it. While eating, I had to watch the time and not be out too long. It was really so heartbreaking.
@ElectricianZhangFugui:
Once I calculated the time when my dad and mom went out swimming and ordered fried skewers. When the delivery guy came, he actually knocked on the door at the same time as my parents. Through the door I heard them talking. The delivery guy said, perfect, this is your home, you take it in... My mom also said in disbelief that they wouldn't order this stuff. Inside the door, I didn't dare make a peep.
Delivery guy, what grudge do we have between us...
[I just want to order takeout, why are you trying to sabotage me..]
@MobileUser970401:
After seeing the note, the delivery guy cheerfully rang the doorbell with a sense of rhythm.
@IRejoiceInSorrowAshinnn:
Once I ordered takeout in the middle of the night. The delivery guy pressed the video intercom downstairs, and the sound was so loud it jolted my dad and mom awake. I quickly went to hang it up, but he kept pressing. After several times, I felt like dying. Then my mom threw away the takeout.
[Come here, I promise I won't beat you to death]
@RunningClothBagCat:
Every time I order takeout, I open the door in advance and stand guard at the entrance. A few days ago, a delivery guy came up and said in a loud voice: Enjoy your meal! I was so mad, it was 4:30 in the morning!
@NitroglycerinStirFriedDurian:
Once I ordered takeout, and I happily opened the door. The delivery guy said with a smile: "I just ran into your mom and dad." Me: "Your mom asked me if it was xx (my name) who ordered it." Me: A few minutes later, my mom called and asked me, was the takeout good?
