I want to go back to the old family yard to grow flowers and vegetables, and enjoy a slow, unhurried life.

I want to go back to the rural old home with you, back to the place where my life began.
Here there are no towering skyscrapers, only low, cozy old houses.
Here there is no clamor of traffic and horses, only the warmest smiles of the neighbors.
Here there is everything that haunts my dreams...
We have a yard, neither too big nor too small.
At the gate we absolutely must plant a few wisteria and Chinese trumpet creeper.
When spring comes, the flowers climb all over the courtyard walls, and fragrance drifts through the whole yard.
The yard wall is best made into a bamboo fence.
Along the fence we plant winter jasmine, Chinese roses, chrysanthemums...
In the flowering season, seen from afar, it looks just like a sea of flowers.
In the yard we should lay a cobblestone path.
On both sides of the path we should plant flowers and grasses everywhere.
Chinese rose
Hydrangea
Chrysanthemum
You like keeping fish and birds.
So we build a fish pond in the yard.
We release the fry and watch them grow little by little.
In the fish pond we plant the lotus and water lilies I like...
Every summer, it is the most beautiful and liveliest time for the fish pond.
The lotus blooms gorgeously.
The grown fish dart back and forth beneath the lotus leaves.
How merry they are!
Behind the house we plant melons, fruits, and vegetables.
Peaches, plums, apricots, oranges, watermelon...
When the fruit ripens, you can pick one at hand and eat it right away!
Friends from the city like to come to the house as guests.
So we set up a tea shelter in the yard and put out a few lounge chairs.
A few close friends pick melons and vegetables with their own hands.
Together we make a table of delicious dishes.
In the warm atmosphere we feel inner peace.
We will also free-range a flock of honest, endearing ducks.
In summer we let them frolic in the river.
We keep a few plump hens and one handsome rooster.
Let them run freely around the small yard.
And we keep a few cats and dogs.
They guard the house and keep us company in idle times.
In the morning we wake to the rooster's clear crow.
Outside the window are chirping sparrows.
In the yard we pick a few bunches of flowers and put them in the vase on the dining table.
Country life should be refined too.
The life we long for is just this:
You and I doing the things we love together.
Picking vegetables and gathering eggs with our own hands, making a simple and delicious breakfast.
After the meal, walking along the small country path.
The wind carries the fresh scent of grass.
By day we prune and trim in the small yard.
In idle moments we chat with the neighbors.
In the evening, cooking smoke rises all over the village.
The air is filled with the aroma of every household's meal.
On the street the familiar call rings out again: "Come home for dinner!"
When night comes,
we sit under the pagoda tree at the gate with palm-leaf fans, enjoying the cool.
We listen to the village elders tell the story of every star in the night sky.
Or else we just sit quietly like this.
Letting the breeze brush our cheeks, listening to the frogs croak in the distance.
I want to return to the countryside with you.
To find a yard, neither too big nor too small, and while away the time.
Forgetting the noise and turmoil of life.
Living slowly and unhurriedly.
Giving the soul a moment to rest.
