With so much rain and wind lately, plenty of petals and leaves have fallen. Huahua suggests you collect these petals and fallen leaves - don't throw them away! Make a picture with your own hands and hang it on the wall, and your home instantly becomes beautiful!

Petals and fallen leaves can make a beautiful picture

Petals can also be used to make pictures. Last year, a mother took her son and used collected leaves and petals to make a beautiful collage, becoming the envy of other families!

It's said this mother was a complete beginner at crafts with no foundation or experience, yet she still did such a great job. Even clumsy people like Huahua have been inspired with confidence!

Here's how it happened: while the mother and son were walking in the park, they saw the ground covered with fallen leaves - red, green, yellow - and hit upon the idea: could they take them home and make leaf collages?

They acted on the idea right away. First they drew the outline and main structure on paper, then glued leaves in the middle for texture and color filling, and a lifelike bird was born.

The flower-and-bird collages above are relatively simple. Some people have used petals and fallen leaves to make portraits - both intricate and elaborate. You can't help but admire them!

The outlines and facial features of the figures are all made from petals and thin twigs - this takes quite an artistic gift!

There are clearly many clever and skillful people. Some even cleverly use dried petals to make abstract pictures. These look simple but are actually harder, because they require so much imagination!

After seeing all this, do you want to make one yourself? Below, Huahua has included a simple tutorial for everyone!

Step one of making a picture - pressing dried flowers

To make pictures with petals, you need to keep the petals dry and prevent them from fading. Otherwise, over time they turn black and the picture becomes unwatchable!

Production steps

1. Prepare materials: petals (rose, Chinese rose, jasmine, morning glory, etc.), absorbent paper, cardboard, bricks and other heavy objects.

2. Lay the absorbent paper flat on the cardboard, then spread the petals evenly between two layers of absorbent paper.

3. Place a thick dictionary on top of the upper layer of absorbent paper, and keep the surrounding environment dry and well-ventilated.

4. After 24 hours, remove the thick dictionary, gently iron the absorbent paper holding the petals a few times with an electric iron, wait for the temperature to drop, then press the dictionary on again. After one day, they will be completely dry.

High temperature can speed up the drying of petals, and they won't fade~ Once the petals are completely dry, they're ready to use!

Step two of making a picture - draw the outline, glue the petals

Production steps

1. Prepare materials: dried petals, leaves, scissors, glue, white paper.

2. Find some simple patterns, draw the outline, then place the petals and leaves on to try the effect.

3. Once you've confirmed the effect works, dip a cotton swab in glue, apply it to the back of the leaves and petals, then gently stick them onto the paper.

4. After gluing, let it dry, and you've completed a collage. You can also cut away the blank paper around it to make a bookmark - unique and beautiful!
