For summer potted flowers, choose this one: drop it in soil and it will live, blooming in all four seasons, as beautiful as a fake flower

Introduction
Green plants in pots are essential decorative items for home life. Keeping some flowers and grasses at home has many benefits: it beautifies the room and delights the mood. "Flower Voice Potted Plant Diary · Issue 1168" introduces you to a flower suitable for growing in summer.
Today's star
In summer the weather is hot, and many plants, whether herbaceous or woody, such as succulents and rose of Sharon, enter dormancy to safely get through summer. They are not suitable for cultivation, and their ornamental value is not high either. The flower introduced today, called the gazania, is just the opposite: the hotter the weather, the more brilliantly it blooms. The flowers are very beautiful, and it can be grown in summer too.
Gazania
Gazania is a plant of the Asteraceae family, perennial, native to southern Africa. It is a new type of ornamental flower and has not been introduced to our country for very long. It has been introduced and cultivated in many provinces, mostly for potted ornamental use. Its flower shape is peculiar, with a dark eye spot at the center, resembling a medal. The ray florets are white, yellow, orange-red and other colors, and the petals are glossy, seeming to shine under the sun, like bright eyes, beautiful as if fake flowers, with very high ornamental value.
Extremely long blooming period
Gazania, like moss rose, is a plant with a very long blooming period. Give it enough light and it will keep blooming, regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter. Last year I grew two pots from seed in winter. They began blooming in spring and have continued until now without stopping (the second picture is the first flower), and I am even getting a bit tired of the beauty. However, the premise is that you must give enough light; insufficient light will affect blooming.
Drop it in soil and it will live
Gazania is generally grown from seed and is very easy to keep. As long as the seed quality is not poor, it will almost always survive once dropped into soil. I used special cultivation soil, which retains water and moisture relatively well and is also rich in nutrients, suitable for seedling growth. After sowing, water it and keep the potting soil moist. It sprouts in about 7 days. Do not give it sunlight at first. Once it has grown more than four leaves, it can be cared for normally. When transplanting, try not to damage the roots. From sowing to blooming takes about -3 months.
Beautiful as if fake
Gazania is a perennial root plant and has a certain cold tolerance. It can be planted in the open ground in areas south of the Yellow River in our country. It may lose its leaves in winter, but it will grow again in spring. Its demand for light is very high, and it is extremely sun-tolerant. The more sun, the more beautiful it becomes. The flowers open facing the sun and close after sunset, which is very interesting. A perennial herb, plant it once and enjoy flowers every year afterward. Mixed planting of multiple colors gives an even better effect.
