Landscape bonsai is one of the excellent traditional arts of the Chinese nation, a type of bonsai mainly appreciated for its rocks. To make a landscape bonsai, one must first carry out an artistic conception, determine the theme, then, following the natural temperament of the mountain stones, take all or part of the stone material suitable for modeling, and with plants and necessary accessories carry out artificial carving, configuring it into a miniature mountain. Natural scenery such as fantastic peaks and exotic ridges, high gorges and flying falls, a hundred ranges and a thousand peaks, and secluded caves and wondrous views is condensed into a shallow pot, placed on a desk, just like a three-dimensional landscape painting, making one feel as if standing before blue waves and green waters, among famous mountains and great rivers, full of charm.
