Want your bougainvillea to bloom again quickly after the flowers fade? Try this little trick

Recently a gardening friend left a message asking me to talk abouthow to care for bougainvillea after the flowers fade so it blooms again as soon as possible?
Chengcheng tells everyone: after the bougainvillea flowers fade, if you want it to bloom again as soon as possible, two things must be done:
First, you need to give it a major pruning
Bougainvillea has a characteristic: after the flowers fade, the harder we prune it, the more it blooms next time. And there are no special requirements for pruning bougainvillea. It is not like jasmine or rose, where you have to count how many leaves or check for bud points before you can cut. There is no fuss at all with pruning bougainvillea; just cut however you like according to the shape you want.
Many gardening friends may say, can I just not prune it? I will tell everyone: it can still bloom without pruning, but it will definitely bloom less. Because if you do not prune, it will not grow side shoots, and without side shoots, it will only bloom at the top, and other places will not bloom.
And if you do not prune, its branches will get longer and longer, and it will not look good either. So after the bougainvillea flowers fade, we still need to give it a hard prune.
Second,After pruning, first give it one application of a three-element compound fertilizer, and for the first watering we need to water it thoroughly. Then begin water control. When you find that the potting soil has dried out completely and the leaves have wilted, then water a small amount around the edges of the pot. The amount of water only needs to last two or three days. Before it produces flower buds, keep watering it this way.
After the bougainvillea flowers fade, as long as you care for it this way, in about 40 days or so it will sprout flower buds. Once it has flower buds, we begin watering it normally. Every 10 days, give it one more application of monopotassium phosphate, mixed with water at a ratio of 1:1000 and watered on.
What we need to pay attention to is:During the water control period, give it two applications of monopotassium phosphate at a ratio of 1:3000. And also make sure it gets plenty of light. If there is not enough light, it will bloom less and the color will be paler.
