Attention all friends who grow pothos at home, or are planning to grow pothos. Friends around me who grow flowers always have this habit: once the flowers bloom beautifully and the cultivation succeeds, they want to buy a few more pots so the whole home is decorated with plants. Actually, you don't need to spend that wasted money buying new seedlings - you just need to spend a little money on a few flower pots. Mix up some suitable soil and that's it. Today, the editor will teach you how to turn one pot of pothos into N pots.

First, you need to prepare your tools, and the tools are very simple: one pot of pothos and a pair of scissors. That's right, we are going to use a grown pothos to cultivate new seedlings. First use the scissors to cut off a section of woody branch - remember not to choose the branch tips, as the survival rate will be very low that way. About 10 cm is enough. You can also choose to cut off some relatively sturdy leaves.

Once the preparations are done, let's first talk about the first propagation method: the cutting method. Freshly cut woody branches are suitable for the cutting method. Cuttings are generally taken in spring and autumn. Remove the bottom 1-2 leaves and plant them in a pot - you don't need to put many in one pot, about 3 stems is enough, because they will grow larger later. After planting, put it in a cooler place and keep the soil moist. After about 3 weeks, a new pot of pothos will appear.

The second method is leaf cutting propagation. Some friends may be curious: how can one leaf grow into a pot of pothos? The editor tells you, it really can. We choose relatively sturdy leaves from the upper part of the pothos vine, cut them off with a thin blade, wash them clean with water, and once the cut on the leaf has dried, insert it into clean water. There are a few things to pay attention to here: the leaves must be replenished with water in time, otherwise they will easily wilt. Put it in a cool place and change the water in the pot about every 3 days. This way, roots will form in about 1 month.

The third method is water propagation. Actually, this is similar in nature to growing hydroponic plants. We choose sturdy stems and vines, cut off the bottom leaves, and insert them into clean water. Remember to change the water frequently - change the water in the pot about once a week, and roots will form in about 2 weeks.

The above 3 are relatively common methods for propagating household plants. If you want it to take root and sprout as quickly as possible, you can also use rooting powder to speed up its growth. Pour the rooting powder into a container with water, immerse the branches you plan to use for cuttings in the water, soak them for about 6 hours, then take them out and plant them. This way, they will take root and sprout relatively quickly.

Isn't it simple? Friends who want to grow a few more pots of pothos or want to plant pothos, don't go spending that wasted money anymore - growing one yourself is so convenient.
