Pest infestations out of control? Just sprinkle some ash in the pot and the problem is easily solved

In summer, the higher temperatures, combined with overwatering, make it very easy for some germs and pests to breed. But did you know that simply sprinkling a layer of ash on top of the potting soil can let plants grow very well, and it does not cost a single cent. Come take a look and learn it!
Cigarette ash
If any flower-loving friends at home smoke, you can collect the cigarette ash and then sprinkle it directly onto the soil, but do not sprinkle too much; just a thin layer is enough. This can effectively prevent small black worms from laying eggs on the soil, and while you are watering the plants, the cigarette ash will also seep into the soil along with the water flow, which can likewise kill the bacteria in the soil.
Lime
First prepare some lime, then sprinkle the lime in a ring along the edge of the soil. Be sure not to put it too close to the root system or sprinkle it onto the leaves. This can effectively prevent snails, because snails will dehydrate and die when they touch lime. Many flower-loving friends may worry about damaging the plants, so you can also sprinkle it on the ground outside the pot, which works too.
Plant ash
First collect the plant ash, then find a clean plastic bottle and put it directly into the bottle. Add 10 times its volume of clean water, then shake it evenly. Once it is diluted, spray it directly toward the places with pests. Spray once every half a month, and it can kill all the pests. In addition, you can also sprinkle the plant ash evenly onto the potting soil. This can also kill the insect eggs in the soil and supplement potassium fertilizer for the plants!
