Preparations before pigs enter the fermentation bed pen

Before the pigs are put into the pen, they should be properly vaccinated and dewormed. According to the stocking density, 0.8 to 1 sq m per small to medium pig, and about 1.2 sq m per large pig. If the density is too high, the bedding cannot digest and absorb so much manure and urine; if the density is too low, it is not economical. But we recommend a maximum density of1.2 square meters/head, because this can greatly extend the life of the bedding.

After the film or covering straw on the fermentation bed bedding is uncovered and left to breathe for one day, and the surface temperature of the fermentation bed is below30℃, the pigs can be put into the pen. When the air temperature is above15℃, making the fermentation bed bedding does not require covering with film or rice straw.
