1. Method of mounting the sow dummy
The height of the sow dummy used for training should be moderate, preferably 45-50CM, and can be adjusted according to different pigs; an adjustable sow dummy is best. Before training, first smear the semen of other boars or their colloidal fraction or the urine of an estrous sow on top of the sow dummy, then drive the replacement boar into the training pen. After smelling the odor, most boars are willing to gnaw and nuzzle the sow dummy. At this time, if the trainer also makes sounds similar to the grunting of an estrous sow, it can further stimulate the boar's sexual desire. Once sexual desire is high, the boar will gradually mount the sow dummy. If it has the urge to mount but does not mount, it is best to train again the next day. Generally, training can succeed in 1-2 weeks.

2. Method of mounting an estrous sow
Before training, cover a sow in peak estrus with a gunny sack or other opaque material, leaving the limbs and hooves hidden and only the sow's vulva exposed, and drive her beside the sow dummy. Then bring the boar over and let him sniff and nuzzle the sow to stimulate his sexual desire. When the boar's sexual desire is high, quickly drive the sow away and move over the sow dummy smeared with other boars' semen or sow urine, letting the boar mount it. Once mounting is successful, the sow dummy can be used for reinforcement on the second and third days. This method is rather troublesome, but the effect is relatively good.
