"Post-80s" female university graduate starts her own business farming lobsters
(Agricultural Wealth Network) On the morning of the 9th, the agricultural entrepreneurship park in Luojing Town, Baoshan District, Shanghai opened, and "post-80s" female university graduate Ma Lan became a representative of the first batch of entrepreneurs to move into the park, where she has started raising Australian lobsters. The lobsters are growing well and will be ready for sale to the market in a few months. This young boss, Ma Lan, graduated in 2006 from East China Normal University with a degree in law. After graduation, she joined the university graduates' "Three Supports and One Assistance" program (supporting agriculture, education, medical care and poverty alleviation) and worked at a village committee in Luojing Town, Baoshan District. In 2009, when Ma Lan's work term ended, Luojing Town happened to be opening an agricultural entrepreneurship park. The park provided a platform to encourage university graduates to start businesses, along with preferential policies such as full exemption of rent for the first year and a subsidy for social insurance premiums at the town insurance standard for one year. Ma Lan, whose original hometown is Ningxia, had her entrepreneurial passion ignited and stayed in Luojing Town to start her own business.

From her daily observations, Ma Lan found that people nowadays like to eat green food and pay attention to nutritional balance, so there is a certain market for farming and breeding, but she still had no direction for breeding. Wang Yiyu, an opening guidance expert from Luojing Town, helped her. Under Wang Yiyu's introduction and guidance, Ma Lan decided to farm Australian lobsters. The seedlings of this kind of lobster are all introduced from Australia, and the number currently farmed in Shanghai is not large. It has the characteristics of delicious meat and a large size, and its claws are colorful and have ornamental value, so its market prospects are good.

At present, Ma Lan has successfully established Lanlan Aquaculture Park in the entrepreneurship park, mainly to farm Australian lobsters. She hired 4 local landless farmers as feeders and also engaged a teacher from the Biology Department of East China Normal University as a technical instructor. She hopes this batch of lobsters can grow up smoothly, achieve sales, and gradually accumulate experience to expand the farming scale and sales channels. Ma Lan said: "Now that I have farming experience, as well as technical guarantees and the care and help of so many people, I am very confident about the development prospects of my aquaculture park."

The Australian lobsters farmed by Ma Lan are growing well. Most of the lobsters have grown to two or three liang, and in a few more months, when they reach six or seven liang, these lobsters will be ready for sale to the market.

Since the beginning of this year, Shanghai has introduced a three-year action plan to encourage entrepreneurship and drive employment, striving to promote 30,000 people to successfully start businesses and 200,000 people to gain employment through entrepreneurship by establishing entrepreneurship parks and incubation bases and other means. Against this background, Baoshan District has introduced and implemented entrepreneurial policies with regional characteristics. Since the beginning of this year, it has cumulatively helped 807 people successfully start businesses, becoming the first in Shanghai to achieve at least one entrepreneurship venue in every street and town. The Luojing Town Agricultural Entrepreneurship Park is one of them. (
