The effects of phosphorus on double-low rapeseed
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Rapeseed is most sensitive to phosphorus in the early stages of growth, and since phosphorus can be reused within the plant, all phosphate fertilizer for rapeseed should be applied as a base fertilizer. The period from flowering to maturity is when rapeseed absorbs the most phosphorus, accounting for 58.2% of the total; after maturity, 60 to 70% of the phosphorus is distributed in the seeds. Phosphate fertilizer has the effect of increasing the oil content of the seeds, but applying phosphorus together with nitrogen at the seedling stage reduces oil content less than applying phosphorus together with nitrogen after bolting. Applying phosphorus to winter rapeseed increases linolenic acid and eicosenoic acid, while erucic acid is significantly reduced.
