Correct application of phosphorus nutrition in rapeseed
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Although rapeseed requires less phosphate fertilizer than nitrogen and potassium, rapeseed is very sensitive to phosphorus. For Brassica napus rapeseed with a yield of 100 to 150 kg per mu, phosphorus uptake reaches its highest peak during the bolting and flowering stages over its life cycle. The period when rapeseed uses phosphorus most efficiently is much earlier than the period of maximum phosphorus uptake. Therefore, phosphate fertilizer is best applied as seed fertilizer and base fertilizer; if applied as a topdressing, it should preferably be applied before the 5-leaf stage.
