Bacillus Starter Culture and Yogurt Bacteria Freeze-Dried Agent
(Agricultural Wealth Network)    In recent years, as the concept of healthy, pollution-free aquaculture has taken root in people's minds, the control of aquaculture water quality has become increasingly important, and microbial preparations are gaining more and more attention and popularity among aquaculture practitioners. However, how to enable microecological preparations to truly play their role is something we have always cared about and paid attention to. At present, the emergence of Bacillus and yogurt bacteria freeze-dried starter cultures has solved the problems existing in the use of microecological preparations, such as numerous contaminating bacteria, low viable bacteria content, and aging of stock bacterial cultures.

    I. Characteristics of the viable bacteria liquid cultured with starter cultures

    1. High purity: Vacuum bottle packaging is used, avoiding contamination by external contaminating bacteria.

    2. High content: The concentration of the viable bacteria liquid cultured with freeze-dried starter cultures can reach as high as 10 billion cfu/ml, and normally is no less than 5 billion cfu/ml, far higher than ordinary microecological preparations on the market.

    3. Strong activity: The viable bacteria liquid prepared and used on the spot ensures the freshness of the starter culture, thereby avoiding the aging of bacterial cells caused by long-term storage of the bacterial liquid, and fully guaranteeing the activity of beneficial bacteria.

II. Experiment on culturing viable bacteria liquid with starter cultures

    1. Brown sugar is used to prepare the starter culture medium, and the addition ratio of water to brown sugar is 10:1, that is, 10 jin of water plus 1 jin of brown sugar, which can basically guarantee the needs of starter culture reproduction and growth. After countless starter culture expansion and culturing experiments, the growth curve shown in the figure below was obtained. From the growth curves of the 2 starter cultures, it is easy to see that the starter culture medium has the best effect when used between 24 and 48 hours, so our starter cultures should be used after 1 to 2 days of culturing.

    2. During the process of culturing the viable bacteria liquid with starter cultures, samples were taken at different time periods for observation and counting, as shown in the figure below:

III. Comparison between starter culture medium and ordinary microecological preparations (as follows):

The viable bacteria liquid cultured with starter cultures has many advantages over ordinary microecological preparations, whether in the freshness of beneficial bacteria, viable bacteria content, activity of viable bacteria, and so on.

IV. Main functions of the freeze-dried starter cultures

    (1) Functions of Bacillus starter cultures

    1. Decompose the excrement, residual feed and organic waste of aquatic animals, eliminate the odor of the water body, purify water quality, and improve transparency.

    2. Rapidly degrade toxic substances such as nitrite, ammonia nitrogen and hydrogen sulfide, and inhibit the reproduction of blue-green algae.

    3. This product is often used in greenhouse and shed aquaculture, and can effectively purify the water body, alleviate problems such as harsh aquaculture environments caused by inconvenience in changing water and difficulty in ventilation, and improve the success rate of aquaculture.

    4. It is suitable for seawater and freshwater aquaculture water bodies of various salinities and various pH levels.

    (2) Functions of the yogurt bacteria freeze-dried agent

    1. Regulate and improve the intestinal tract of aquatic animals, and has the function of preventing and treating enteritis.

    2. Improve the disease resistance of aquatic animals and promote their rapid growth.

    3. It has strong tolerance to a variety of antibiotics, and when used together with antibiotics, it will not affect their biological effects.

    4. It belongs to non-aerobic Bacillus, can purify deteriorated pond water quality, and plays an anti-stress role.
