Application of Bacillus strains in Macrobrachium rosenbergii farming
(Agricultural Wealth Network)    Farmer Cui, a farmer in Gaoyou Fisheries Village, farms 15 mu of Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Having started with greenhouse farming and then switched to pond farming, 8 days after stocking the pond he found that blue-green algae had broken out in the pond, already forming a blue oil film covering 80% of the pond. Faced with this situation, Farmer Cui went to the Qinggao fishery and veterinary drug store at Baima Farm to seek a solution.

    I. Basic information on the pond

    The Macrobrachium rosenbergii pond has an area of 15 mu and a water depth of 70 cm. Blue-green algae began to break out in the pond and formed a blue oil film.

    II. Treatment method

    1. On the first day, use chlorine dioxide at 2 mu-m per bag;

    2. On the second day, take 5000 ml of surface pond water, add 1 jin of brown sugar, then add 1 bottle of Bacillus strains for simple culturing;

    3. On the third day, dilute the cultured live Bacillus liquid with water and splash it over the whole pond.

    III. Application effect

    5 days after the shrimp pond was treated with Bacillus strains, the water color showed obvious changes.

    1. The blue-green algae oil film disappeared, with only a small amount of yellow oil film and small algal particles floating at the downwind outlet;

    2. The shrimp pond showed a healthy pale yellow-green water color.

    IV. Analysis and summary

    After 24 hours of culturing, the Bacillus strains formed a high-concentration live bacterial liquid. After entering the water body, they rapidly formed a population advantage, quickly decomposed the remains of dead algae, and at the same time consumed a large amount of nutrients in the water body, indirectly inhibiting the excessive reproduction of algae. Therefore, they played a role in purifying water quality and inhibiting blue-green algae. The pale yellow-green water color in Farmer Cui's pond indicates that the Bacillus and beneficial algae in the pond water have reached a balanced state, and the water quality is relatively stable.

    Feedback from the farmer friend: Farmer Cui is satisfied with this measure for treating blue-green algae and highly approves of the Bacillus strains produced by the company.
