A Successful Case of Water Quality Regulation in an Old Shrimp Pond
(Agricultural Wealth Network)     There are many aquaculture ponds in the Shandong region. Because the water cannot be drained, the bottom cannot be cleaned, and the sludge at the bottom of the ponds accumulates fairly thick. In addition, there is a relatively large amount of leftover bait and shrimp feces in the later stage, which easily causes the bottom to become foul, the water color to become dense and black, and the disease incidence of the shrimp to rise. Boss Chen's shrimp pond was exactly the situation described above, and the success rate of aquaculture was very low. This year, Boss Chen handled it according to the following method. At present, the water quality of all four ponds is quite good, and the shrimp are also growing well.

    1. Regularly improve the bottom   Use a bottom-improving product once about every 10 days: Dijusujie'an (chemical) and Chidiqing (biological) used alternately, which can both change the problem of foul bottom odor and allow beneficial microorganisms to colonize the pond bottom.

    2. Regulate water   After improving the bottom, use Baoshui Lishengsu at 2 mu-meters per bag, dissolve in water, soak, and splash it on; or use Bacillus sp. bacterial strain at 6 mu-meters per bottle, culture for 24 hours, and then splash it on. The water quality has remained in an excellent state throughout.
