Foliar fertilization of rapeseed at the flower-pod stage
(Agricultural Wealth Network) The key to fertilizing rapeseed at the flower-pod stage is to do it skillfully. Most rapeseed plants grow relatively weakly in the early stage and are prone to premature senescence in the later stage. If fertilizer is insufficient in the early and middle stages, spring flowering is inadequate, and individual plants and the population are small; or if fertilizer is applied excessively in the early stage and fertilizer is withheld in the middle stage, premature senescence is also likely in the later stage. Therefore, at the early flowering stage or the final flowering stage, a fast-acting nitrogen foliar fertilizer should be applied additionally. If fertilizer was sufficient in the early and middle stages and the plants are growing normally, a fast-acting phosphorus and potassium foliar fertilizer should be sprayed. Generally, use 0.3% urea solution or 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution.
