The high-yield potential of sesame
(Agricultural Wealth Network) The high yield of sesame is relative, and varies with time, location and cultivation conditions. For example, the current main production targets for white sesame in China are divided into 3 types according to the natural disaster conditions that can be resisted: 75 to 100 kg per mu in a poor harvest year; 101 to 150 kg in an average year; and more than 150 kg for high yield. Among these, more than 150 kg is high yield, and more than 200 kg is super high yield. Black sesame, however, has currently only reached 158 kg, and no higher yields have yet been reported; at present, more than 100 kg per mu of black sesame is high yield.
