A Detailed Guide to the Yield-Increasing Effects and Application Methods of Potassium Fertilizer on Sesame
The Yield-Increasing Effects and Application Methods of Potassium Fertilizer on Sesame
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Under fixed nitrogen and phosphorus conditions, the yield of sesame increases significantly with increasing potassium fertilizer. Trials have shown that applying an additional 7.5 kg of potassium oxide per mu increased sesame seed yield by 30.4 kg per mu compared with the control. Each kilogram of potassium oxide can increase sesame seed yield by 4 kg. Applying an additional 2.5 kg of potassium oxide per mu gives the best economic benefit. The application method is: phosphate fertilizer applied once as a base fertilizer, potassium fertilizer applied once at the early flowering stage, and nitrogen fertilizer (urea) applied half at the bud stage and half at the early flowering stage.
