What are the nutritional benefits of jujube fruit? Learn it all in one article
The nutritional value of jujube fruit
The sugar content of jujubes ranks first among all kinds of fruits: fresh jujubes contain more than 20% sugar, and dried jujubes contain 60 to 80% sugar. Their calorie content is similar to that of rice and flour, so they can replace staple grains; this makes the jujube an important woody food crop. In addition, jujubes contain 1.2 to 3.3% protein, as well as fat and essential minerals such as iron, phosphorus and calcium. Their vitamin C content reaches 380 to 600 mg per 100 g, which is 10 times that of citrus and 80 times that of apples.
