Miaoli County Golden Beer Food and Shopping Festival Kicks Off on August 4

To actively support the vigorous development of local industries in Miaoli, the Miaoli County Government secured NT$10 million in funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and, starting from the 105th year of the Republic of China calendar, launched a three-year "Miaoli County Zhonggang River Downstream Four Townships and Cities Food and Leisure Industry Integration Development Plan" (abbreviated as Golden Food Tour). Professional resources were brought in to guide the food and leisure industries of the four townships and cities of Zhunan, Toufen, Zaoqiao and Houlong, integrating leisure agriculture, food and dining, processed food souvenir gifts, industry experiences, crafts, and tourism factories and other businesses, enhancing overall service quality and product value-added, and uniting the food, shopping and leisure experience industries of the commercial districts in the four townships and cities downstream of the Zhonggang River to build the Golden Food Tour regional brand. This further integrates the marketing of the Golden Food Tour area's distinctive features and, combined with the maritime characteristics and historical culture downstream of the Zhonggang River, creates a new travel experience for visitors, raises the rate of return visits, and drives local business opportunities.

The "2018 Golden Beer Food and Shopping Festival" will be grandly held at the Zhunan Brewery. County Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang welcomes people from all over the country to come to Miaoli on 8/4 (Saturday) to experience the joyful beer festival activities of "great food," "great fun" and "great deals," to cool off this summer in Miaoli, and to bring a few friends along to "drink joyfully and raise a glass in celebration."

The Miaoli County Government is actively building the image of "Miaoli Golden Beer City." This year it has specially cooperated with the Zhunan Brewery to plan and hold the "2018 Golden Beer Food and Shopping Festival," and has carefully arranged wonderful performances, planned a Golden Food Tour market of local foods and specialty souvenir gifts, and designed many fun competitions and other activities, letting the public on site enjoy a joyful feast of beer and food and experience Miaoli's delicious and fun local charm.

On the day of the event, the first 1,000 people to enter (limited to those aged 18 and above) will each receive a limited-edition Taiwan Beer cup and can take part in the opening activity of "a thousand people toasting and raising their glasses in celebration," kicking off this spectacular and grand beer festival.
