Does rainfall have a big impact on the growth and development of jujube trees?
Jujube trees are drought-resistant and waterlogging-resistant. They can adapt to annual precipitation of 400 to 700 mm, and can also adapt to precipitation of more than 1000 mm, but regions with little rain and dryness are more suitable. This is because jujube trees are light-loving plants; areas with little rain and sufficient sunlight are favorable for growth and fruiting, and the sugar content of the fruit is also high. Jujube trees require relatively high humidity during the flowering period, with the optimal relative humidity being 85%. If the air is dry during the flowering period, it affects pollen grain germination and is unfavorable for fertilization. During the fruit ripening period, little rain and plenty of sunshine are required; too much rain often causes fruit cracking.
