Types of rootstocks used for jujube grafting

There are three types of rootstocks used for jujube grafting: common jujube rootstock, wild jujube (sour jujube), and copper coin tree. (1) Common jujube rootstock: it has the same genetic relationship with the scion, strong compatibility, and a high survival rate; the seeds of common jujube rootstock can be sown in either spring or autumn. (2) Wild jujube (sour jujube): including wild sour jujube seedlings and seedling stock grown from sown sour jujube pits; it has strong adaptability, tolerates poor soil, drought and waterlogging, and heat and cold, has well-developed roots, is closely related to jujube, and gives a high grafting survival rate. (3) Copper coin tree: the copper coin tree and jujube belong to the same family; it grows fast, has a well-developed root system, resists pests and diseases, prefers moisture, and does not tolerate drought; grafted onto jujube it achieves a survival rate of over 80%, and the plants grow vigorously, bear fruit early, and give high yields.
