Packaging and protection measures for jujube seedlings

After jujube seedlings are dug up and taken out of the nursery, their roots are exposed to the air and easily lose water and dry out. When the weather is dry, fine roots less than 2 mm in diameter will dry out and die in the air in about 20 minutes. Therefore, after lifting the seedlings, they must be packaged and protected as soon as possible. First bundle the seedlings, 50 to 100 plants per bundle, then coat the roots evenly with mud slurry, and then wrap them in plastic sheeting to retain moisture. Be sure to keep the seedlings in a sound state at all times, with soft roots and smooth, glossy branches.
