How to configure varieties when planting jujube trees
Variety selection should suit local conditions, and attention should be paid to the growth and fruiting habits of the varieties. Most jujube varieties can self-pollinate and set fruit, so they can be planted alone, but some varieties have undeveloped or poorly developed pollen and must be provided with pollinizer trees, such as Shandong pear jujube and Yiwu large jujube. For fresh-eating varieties, 2 to 3 varieties with different ripening periods should be configured according to the production scale to extend the time the product is on the market. For the purpose of pollinating the main varieties, 3 to 4 rows of the main variety should be matched with 1 row of the pollinizer variety; for the purpose of adjusting harvest and supply periods, plan reasonably according to local market conditions and the operator's sales, storage and processing capacity.
