Timing and Frequency of Ringing Jujube Trees

Ringing of jujube trees is carried out during the flowering period from early June to early July. The number of ringings depends on site conditions, climate, tree vigor and fruit set; generally it is done 3 times per year. For trees with heavy fruit set, high temperatures, little rainfall and moderate vigor, it can be done 2 times; conversely, for trees with a rainy flowering period, high soil moisture, light fruit set and vigorous growth, it can be done 4 times, with an interval of about 5 days between each. Note: if the weather is severely dry, windy, or rainy and overcast, do not ring the jujube trees; do not ring young trees, old trees or weak trees.
