Pruning method for the central leader delayed-open shape from year 1 to year 4

The central leader delayed-open shape is relatively tall, generally 5.5 to 6.5 m, with a trunk height of about 1.5 m and a crown spread of 5 to 6 m. Years 1 to 4 are the trunk development period. Each winter, keep 6 to 7 secondary branches at the top as auxiliary nurturing branches; remove the remaining secondary branches close to the trunk gradually from bottom to top each year, to promote extension growth of the trunk.
