Drug prevention methods during the fish disease epidemic season
The occurrence of fish diseases has a certain seasonality. Many fish diseases often occur between April and October, among which April to June and August to October are the two main epidemic seasons of the year. Timely and targeted drug prevention before the fish disease epidemic season is an effective measure to supplement routine prevention, preventing disease before it occurs and achieving twice the result with half the effort.

Prevention of external fish diseases The following drugs can be used to prevent external fish diseases:

    1. Trichlorfon At 50-100 g of 90% crystalline trichlorfon or 250 g-500 g of 2.5% trichlorfon powder per mu of water surface at a depth of 33 cm, dissolve in water and splash over the whole pond. It has a killing effect on Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus, Sinergasilus, water centipedes and the larvae of Lernaea. If 50 g of ferrous sulfate is added per mu of water surface at a depth of 33 cm, the preventive effect on Sinergasilus disease in grass carp and silver carp can be improved.

    2. Quicklime At 3.5-5.0 kg of quicklime per mu of water surface at a depth of 33 cm, dissolve in water and splash over the whole pond. It has preventive and therapeutic effects on myxobacterial gill rot disease, white head and white mouth disease, and naked dinoflagellate disease, and can improve water quality.

    3. Bleaching powder Every half a month to one month, at 0.25 kg of bleaching powder per mu of water surface at a depth of 33 cm, dissolve in water and splash over the whole pond. It has a relatively good effect on preventing bacterial diseases.

    4. Copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate mixture Monthly, use a 0.7 ppm mixture of copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate (in a ratio of 5:2) and splash it over the whole pond to prevent parasitic fish diseases and trichodiniasis, cryptobiosis, ichthyobodiasis, chilodonelliasis and Sinergasilus disease, etc.

When using the above drugs, they must be fully dissolved, the splashing must be uniform, and the residue must be properly handled.
