Feeding and management methods for does in late pregnancy
Feeding and management of does in late pregnancy
From day 15 to day 30 is late pregnancy. To ensure the rapid growth of the fetuses during this period and meet the doe's own nutritional needs, feed must be supplied in sufficient amounts and be rich in protein, minerals and vitamins, such as supplementary concentrated feed including soybeans, soybean cake and fish meal, as well as bone meal, eggshell meal, growth promoters and multivitamins; feeding a complete pelleted feed is even better. Generally, for an adult pregnant doe on free-choice pelleted feed, the daily amount should be controlled at 150 to 180 grams; when green and coarse feed is fed free-choice with a supplementary mixed concentrate, the daily supplementary mixed concentrate should be controlled at 100 to 120 grams.
