Feeding and Management Methods for Castration and Restricted Movement of Fattening Rabbits
Castration and Restricted Movement in the Feeding and Management of Fattening Rabbits
Feeding and management of fattening rabbits: First, male rabbits used for fattening should be castrated. Generally, young male rabbits should be castrated at about 2 months of age. Second, movement should be restricted; fattening rabbits cannot be raised free-range and must be kept in cages just large enough to hold them, placed in a warm, quiet place with dim light, to promote more sleep and rapid fattening.
