How to identify female rabbits: these few tricks are all you need
How to identify female rabbits
It is relatively difficult to determine the sex of newborn kits, but the following methods can be used to identify them: First, if the distance between the genital opening and the anus is relatively far (generally more than 1.2 mm), it is a male rabbit. If the distance is relatively close (less than 1.2 mm), it is a female rabbit. Second, identify by the shape of the genital opening. Hold the kit with one hand, use the index and middle fingers of the other hand to grip the tail, and gently press the skin above the genital area with the thumb so that the external genitalia opens and exposes the genital opening. If the genital opening is round in shape and a cylindrical protrusion (the penis) extends from it, it is a male rabbit; if the genital opening is a long, flat oval slit shaped like a pointed leaf and extends to the anus, it is a female rabbit.
