Production performance of Jinnan cattle
Jinnan cattle are a late-maturing breed. Suckling calves under 6 months of age grow and develop relatively quickly; from 6 months of age to 4 years, growth and development slow down, and average daily gain decreases markedly. Jinnan cattle have good meat production performance, with an average dressing percentage of 52.3% and a net meat percentage of 43.4%. Under good feeding conditions, daily gain can reach more than 800 grams. After intensive fattening, the dressing percentage is above 60%. The meat is fine in texture, with good fat distribution and a delicious flavor, and can be used to produce high-grade beef.
