Key points for selecting feeder cattle: pay attention to the cattle's body weight
When selecting feeder cattle, pay attention to the cattle's body weight
Feeder cattle are mostly priced by visual estimation. If the estimation is accurate and you have a clear idea in mind, you can seize the initiative in the purchase price. Generally, cattle weighing 300 to 400 kg should be purchased, so that after 3 to 5 months of fattening, they can reach a body weight of over 500 kg, meeting the standard for high-grade beef. If the cattle's body weight is too small, the fattening period will be prolonged, the utilization rate of the cattle shed will decrease, the number of cattle marketed throughout the year will be small, and it will be very uneconomical.
