Prevention and Control of Bovine Ephemeral Fever
Prevention of bovine ephemeral fever: eliminate mosquitoes and flies, and achieve early detection, early isolation, and early treatment.

Treatment: This disease generally has a benign course, and with symptomatic treatment and strengthened nursing care, the affected cattle can recover within a few days. There is currently no specific drug for this disease, so treatment is mainly symptomatic. When fever is present, 20 to 30 ml of 30% analgin can be injected intramuscularly, or 20 to 40 ml of aminopyrine, twice a day. To control infection, 2 to 3 million units of penicillin can be injected intramuscularly, twice a day. For cardiac support and fluid replacement, 1000 to 3000 ml of glucose saline and 10 ml of caffeine sodium benzoate can be injected intravenously, twice a day.
