Characteristics of the Cherry Valley duck
The Cherry Valley duck is a fast-growing meat-type duck breed developed by the Cherry Valley Duck Company of the United Kingdom, with fast growth, high feed conversion efficiency and strong disease resistance. Its body shape and appearance closely resemble the Beijing duck. At 47 days of age it can reach a body weight of 3 kg, with a feed-to-weight ratio of 3 to 1. Its net meat rate is more than 26% higher than that of other ducks, and its lean meat rate is also high. The female duck weighs 3.5 kg to 4 kg and lays 210 to 220 eggs per year.
