How to Get Ducklings into the Water? A Detailed Guide to Water Release Methods for Ducklings
Methods for Releasing Ducklings into Water
Ducks like to swim. Swimming can strengthen a duck's constitution and increase its appetite. When the weather is warm (above 24 degrees), ducklings aged 5 to 7 days can be released into water. For the first water release, the water depth should be just enough to submerge the ducklings' feet, without getting the whole body of the ducklings wet. The duration is 5 to 10 minutes. After the water release, let the ducklings sun themselves in a spot sheltered from the wind and facing the sun for 5 to 10 minutes, and once their feathers are dry, drive them back to the duck house. Afterwards, as the ducklings grow older, release them into water 1 to 2 times a day, gradually extending the water release time.
