Principles and methods for lighting laying ducks
The lighting principle once the ducks enter the laying period is: the light should only be gradually extended until it reaches 16 hours of light per day and night; it must not be shortened, and the light must not be switched on and off erratically or come on too early or too late; the light intensity must not be strong at times and weak at others; it may only be increased gradually, up to 8 lux per sq m (2 watts per sq m). The standard operating procedures must be maintained to avoid causing stress responses.
