How to debeak Muscovy ducklings? Correct methods and technical key points

Muscovy ducks are highly prone to feather pecking and feather eating between 3 and 7 weeks of age and during molting. The solution is to debeak the ducklings at 2 to 3 weeks of age. Use a debeaker designed for ducks, or scissors. The debeaker or scissors must be scorched before use, and the cut is made at the middle of the duck's bill. For male ducks kept for breeding, debeaking is not advisable; instead, prevention can be achieved by feeding a diet containing sulfur amino acids, that is, adding 0.2% to 0.4% gypsum powder to the feed; reducing stocking density; and shortening the light duration and lowering light intensity.
