How do you prepare feed for ornamental fish?
Ornamental fish have omnivorous feeding habits, and truly mastering their feeding characteristics and raising them well with guaranteed quality and quantity is not easy. The following points must be emphasized:

First, fish have different physiological requirements at different stages of growth and development, and therefore have different requirements for feed composition. The proportion of protein in the feed must be appropriately adjusted according to the growth needs of ornamental fish to ensure feed quality.

Second, when ornamental fish overwinter and the water temperature is above 2°C, they can still eat, so feed can be given appropriately; if the water temperature is below 1°C, they hardly eat, and by convention no feed is given.

Third, ornamental fish must have bright, vivid colors to have high ornamental value. Therefore, the rearing of ornamental fish should emphasize keeping them in old water. This is because old water has many types of natural feed and a complete range of nutrients, which is beneficial for the formation and accumulation of various pigment granules in the bodies of ornamental fish.

Fourth, never feed the same kind of feed over the long term. The type and amount of feed should be adjusted in a timely and appropriate manner to promote the growth and normal development of ornamental fish. Nutrient-rich food is the material basis for ensuring the growth and development of ornamental fish.
