Recently, temperatures across the country have risen, and for many people it is truly unbearable, it is just too hot. Shitou also gets drenched in sweat every day tending to his flowers, and here he also reminds all flower lovers: try to tend to your flowers in the early morning or evening, so that you are not scorched by the blazing sun, and it is also the appropriate time to tend to flowers, wouldn't that kill two birds with one stone.

Today, what I mainly want to share with everyone is: using "wastewater" from daily life to grow flowers, as long as it is used properly, it is very beneficial to plant growth.

1. Rice washing water:Fully fermented, it is a good fertilizer

Shitou has also noticed in daily life that many people know that using rice washing water to water flowers is good for flower growth, so they directly pour the water just used to wash rice into the flower pot. Many people report that not only did it fail to fertilize, but it also attracted bugs and caused rot. Actually, there is a method to using rice washing water: before use, it must be fully fermented, so that it can be considered "safe fertilizer".

Fermentation method:

Pour the rice washing water into a plastic bottle, do not fill it full, leave at least about 5cm between the water surface and the bottle mouth, as space for gas produced by fermentation. Tighten the bottle and place it in a cool place, and it will be fully fermented in about a week. Well-fermented rice washing water will have many white foam bubbles on the surface.

How to use:

Well-fermented rice washing water will not ferment again and attract mosquitoes or burn roots from fermentation. Mix it with clean water at 1:1, and the effect of watering flowers is best; you can water thoroughly and irrigate the roots. The water contains elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that promote plant growth; the best time to water is in the early morning or evening.

2. Overnight tea:Use the water, not the tea leaves

Tea water is rich in potassium, which is an essential nutrient for plant root growth, so using overnight tea water to water flowers has a great effect on making flowers' roots abundant. When using it, it is best to use overnight tea water, as this water has also undergone slight fermentation, and the effect is better. However, when using it, it is recommended not to pour the tea leaves into the flower pot, because the tea leaves have not undergone fermentation at all. If poured into the flower pot and the pot is damp, they will rot and ferment, affecting the growth of the plant roots in the pot.

3. Fish tank water:Organic fertilizer that needs fermentation

Many people keep fish at home. Did you know that fish tank water is actually very good organic fertilizer, because the water contains fish feces and is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. But the prerequisite is that it must be fully fermented. Previously, a flower lover said: I used fish tank water to water my Christmas cactus, and after a week, the roots began to rot.

Actually, the main problem is that the fish tank water was not fermented at all, but fermented inside the pot, and because of pathogens, it eventually caused the plant to rot. The wastewater from changing the fish tank water is best put into a plastic bottle, fully fermented for 1-2 weeks, and then mixed with water at 1:1 for use; the fertilizer effect will be very good.

4. Rainwater:The best for watering flowers

Natural water is exactly the water plants most need for growth. While summer smog is not very serious, collect some rainwater each time it rains and use it to water flowers; the effect will be very good. Rainwater is acidic water, and most plants like to grow in slightly acidic or neutral soil. Watering with rainwater can regulate soil pH.

These 4 kinds of water are actually all wastewater in daily life, and are all poured away. With just a little processing, they become good fertilizer for growing flowers. In such hot summer, they can not only replenish water and fertilizer, but also save water.
