Yellow Catfish Disease Prevention and Control Methods and Key Technical Points
How to Prevent and Control Yellow Catfish Diseases
How to Prevent and Control Yellow Catfish Diseases
I. Two methods of pond cleaning and disinfection in winter. (1) Dry pond cleaning: first drain the pond water, or leave 6 cm to 9 cm of water, use 75 kg to 100 kg of quicklime per mu, add water to slake it, and immediately sprinkle it evenly over the entire pond without waiting for it to cool. After pond cleaning, the efficacy generally disappears after 7 to 10 days, and fish can then be stocked. (2) Bleaching powder pond cleaning: bleaching powder generally contains about 30% effective chlorine, and the dosage is 15 kg per mu, sprinkled over the entire pond. Generally, after application, the efficacy completely disappears after 4 to 5 days.
II. Fry and fingerling stocking. Before the fry and fingerlings are put into the pond, they need to be soaked in 5% salt water for 10 minutes.
III. Water quality management. Persist in observing the algae phase and algae concentration in the water body. According to the water color, use inorganic fertilizers (urea, superphosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, etc.) to regulate water fertility and maintain transparency at 30 cm to 35 cm. Scientifically use aerators according to dissolved oxygen measurements and weather and water quality conditions.
IV. Commonly used drug prevention and control
(1) Insecticides: Decis. At a concentration of 0.03 ppm per cubic meter of water, splash over the entire pond, or splash with copper sulfate: ferrous sulfate = 0.15:0.05 ppm concentration ratio. The above insecticides have a good insecticidal effect on Dactylogyrus, Trichodina, etc., but the two drugs can only be used alone, cannot be mixed or used alternately, and must not be used in excess.
(2) Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents: oral drugs (mixed evenly into feed and pressed into pellets) sulfadimidine tablets, add 15 g to 20 g per 50 kg of bait and feed continuously for 3 days, fed twice a day; or mix 10 g of furazolidone with 20 g of oxytetracycline and add to 50 kg of bait, feed continuously for 3 days, fed twice a day; oral penicillin capsules can also be used, added to the feed (5 g) and fed continuously for 3 days, fed twice a day. For disinfecting the fish body: use 0.25% bleaching powder solution or diluted penicillin powder for concentrated soaking for 10 minutes. The above oral medicated feed is best prepared and fed immediately; prepare once and feed for 3 days. Mainly targeted at fish diseased by bacterial infection.
(3) Treatment of hemorrhagic disease: use 50 kg of crude salt per mu, splash over the entire pond, and at the same time mix 100 g of sulfathiazole plus 10 g of vitamin C evenly into every 50 kg of bait, feed for 3 days, fed twice a day. In the process of preventing and controlling yellow catfish diseases, generally speaking, refuse to use trichlorfon pesticide for insect killing.
