Bacterial ulcer disease in large yellow croaker attacks fry weighing over 50 grams and can occur throughout the year. The dorsal fin, caudal fin and both sides of the caudal peduncle become congested, the fin rays turn red and splay apart. In severe cases, the muscles bleed and rot, forming hemorrhagic ulcers, and sometimes the bony tissue of the fin rays and caudal peduncle is visible.
Prevention: routinely add drugs such as "marine fish multivitamin" and "Haiyuning III" to the feed, and once every 10 days splash the water body with a disinfectant such as "Shaduwang" or dichloroisocyanurate at slack tide for disinfection.
