Nantou Shuili Grape Festival Purple Carnival Kicks Off

The annual Shuili Township grape feast is here! The Nantou County Government guided the Shuili Township Farmers' Association in holding the "Shuili Township Brand Grape and Young Farmers' Agricultural Specialty Products Marketing Event" on the 21st and 22nd at the Zhenmei Hall Plaza in Checheng, Shuili. On the 22nd, the venue featured carefully arranged booths for young farmers to display and sell their products, along with tasting activities. The event was rich in content and attracted hundreds of people to attend.

Chen Ruiqing, Director of the Nantou County Agriculture Department, stated that the event was held at the Checheng tourist attraction this time in the hope of combining agriculture with tourism to expand the promotion and marketing of local grapes, black fungus drink, black tea, and other agricultural specialty products. Although Nantou's largest grape-producing area is Xinyi Township, Shuili has a good geographical location and climate conditions, and with farmers' dedicated cultivation, the "Black Purple Jade" grapes are of good quality. It is hoped that through promotional methods, people's impression of Shuili grapes will be deepened.

County Councilor and Shuili Farmers' Association Chairman Xiao Zhiquan stated that by holding agricultural product marketing events, the aim is to encourage young people to return to their hometowns and work hard for agriculture, and to assist in promoting and selling products, giving young farmers more confidence in the crops they grow. Chairman Xiao also said that there are many high-quality, organic agricultural specialty products at the venue, and everyone is welcome to taste and purchase them.
