Treatment of Aspergillus Mycotoxin Poisoning in Chicks

Mycotoxins are anti-nutritional factors present in feed and raw materials, and are highly toxic secondary metabolites of molds. Mycotoxins are produced during the processing, transportation and storage of feed, and it should be said that nowhere in the world can escape mold contamination.

Mycotoxins mainly refer to the toxic metabolites produced by molds in the food they contaminate. They can enter the human and animal body through feed or food, causing acute or chronic toxicity in humans and animals, and damaging the body's liver, kidneys, nervous tissue, hematopoietic tissue and skin tissue, etc.

Aflatoxin
Characteristics: 1. Mainly produced by Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus.
2. Composed of about 20 chemically similar substances, among which B1, B2, G1, G2 and M1 are the most important.
3. National regulations stipulate that the content of this toxin in feed must not exceed 20 ppb.

⟧ 4. Sensitivity: pigs > cattle > ducks > geese > chickens

For affected chicks, treatment with norfloxacin, enrofloxacin, doxycycline and other drugs showed no obvious effect, and simultaneous emergency vaccination with Newcastle disease vaccine strain IV also did not improve the outbreak. A trial may be made with "vitamin C raw powder" and "Qianggan Paidu San" mixed into the feed in a concentrated amount, copper sulfate in the drinking water, and "Qumei Qinlewang" mixed freely into the feed all day.
