Growing orchids in the hot summer, beware of black spot disease, prevent it in time and don't neglect it

Orchid leaves stay fresh green all year round, with graceful forms, and their fragrance is clear rather than heavy, giving them extremely high ornamental value; for thousands of years they have been deeply loved by many flower growers.
To grow orchids you must understand them. It is now the hot summer, and orchids will show various ailments, and the more common one is black spots on the leaves, so during care you need to prevent it in advance. Today Hua'er will tell everyone: when growing orchids in summer, sprinkle a little of this thing into the potting soil, and the leaves will be glossy green without root rot, repelling mosquitoes and driving away insects, making the orchids grow more robust. Don't ignore it!
Black spot disease is mainly a condition caused by high temperature and high humidity, and in July and August, with continuous showers, it very easily causes black spot disease and other pests and diseases, so you should sprinkle a little plant ash into the potting soil, in an appropriate amount, not too much, once a month. It can regulate the humidity of the potting soil, prevent root rot; it can also prevent some pests and diseases, and has the effect of repelling mosquitoes and driving away insects.
When you find that an orchid has black spot disease, promptly prune off the affected leaves and the leaves close to them, isolate it from other plants, then spray the leaves with diluted potassium permanganate 3-4 times, once every 3 days.
Other orchid care:
In July and August, place the orchids in a well-ventilated spot to ensure the moisture can fully evaporate that day, reducing the probability of disease; also be careful not to let them get rained on, as this easily causes water accumulation in the pot and root rot. If they do get rained on, promptly do the drainage work, and sprinkle a little plant ash on the surface to disinfect and sterilise in time.
That's all for orchid care. If you have other additions, feel free to share them with everyone in the comments section below. If you want to learn more about growing flowers, you can follow Huajianke!
