Why is the succulent Ice Jade so popular? Let's get to know this succulent

I used to not really care for succulents. Even though they look nice, they are too small, and I prefer larger potted plants that are satisfying to grow. But after a visit to a friend's house, I decided to dive in, because I saw a succulent that was truly super beautiful, and it completely overturned my understanding of succulents. I asked my friend and found out she was growing Ice Jade, and it was absolutely stunning. The leaves are often pink with a hint of green, very textured, and my friend's daughter kept calling it jelly. So today I will share with you how to care for Ice Jade.
Although it is called Ice Jade, I prefer to call it Ice Beauty. This succulent is not hard to care for, especially in spring and autumn. These two seasons are the growing period for Ice Jade, and during this time Ice Jade needs a lot of light. Since the climate is also quite suitable then, we can gradually let Ice Jade be grown outdoors, which is simply a blessing for it. A large amount of light will make the succulent grow more vigorously, and at the same time the leaves will become more translucent and beautiful.
At this time our fertilizer and water also need to keep up. When fertilizing, first dilute it with water before applying, because if the fertilizer is too concentrated, it will burn the roots. Second, on the day after fertilizing we need to replenish water, so that after the water evaporates, the fertilizer is diluted again and can be fully absorbed. As for watering, we cannot let it become short of water, so generally watering once about a week is enough, but we also need to adjust promptly according to how dry or wet the potting soil is.
Summer and winter are the seasons when the succulent Ice Jade grows the slowest. Because summer temperatures are too high, it easily goes dormant, so when caring for Ice Jade in summer, we mainly need to control its growing temperature. At noon we should place Ice Jade in a shady spot, and we can appropriately use a humidifier to lower the temperature, which can reduce the chance of dormancy. When watering, do not get water on the leaves, because light will make the water droplets absorb a large amount of energy and scorch the leaves. Also, do not water at noon, because the water temperature is high; it can only be done in the early morning or in the evening.
In winter, when the temperature is low, we need to keep Ice Jade indoors, and we must not miss the noon sunlight, so keeping it indoors means just placing it on the balcony. In summer and winter, fertilizer is basically unnecessary for Ice Jade; using it is a waste, because it cannot absorb it. Especially in winter, even water has to be bid farewell, and generally watering once every 20 days is enough.
When caring for Ice Jade, we should use acidic soil. If we dug the soil from a residential community or a flower bed, we can add some vinegar when watering, or bury orange peels on the surface of the potting soil. This can also adjust the pH of the soil. So, friends, do you know how to care for the succulent Ice Jade now?
